i met heather shortly after she opened her {urban with a french country chic} gift store nest at the top of my street in oakley about 9 years ago.  a place where you’d be hard pressed to leave without finding something beautiful to add to your home or some fabulous piece of jewelry to adorn yourself with.

if i had to describe heather, i’d have to say urban chic with the warmness of an italian or french village.  of course, i’d have to add beautiful, talented, creative, and extremely thoughtful.
heather wanted to give a dear friend a gift of something that would never wear out, become last years thing, be only a momentary joy…something that would stand the test of time and always have special meaning to her.   heather gave carolyn a photo session of her son george henry as her special gift.  when heather asked me about locations, i asked her to find out if there were any places that were especially meaningful to carolyn….when she asked carolyn where she’d like to have the session take place, her choice was heather and marks wooded, magically tuscan feeling home and their baby vineyard. totally works for me! and, while we were there, heather, mark and monte found themselves in front of my lense too.

it was a few hours of time joyously and gratefully spent sharing in the surroundings, the sounds, the people, the laughter, the food…and yes, the wine!
