if you’ve checked out the links at the bottom of my blog page, you’ve no doubt seen the name zozobugbaby.
i came across this oh so creative girlie online boutique for babies, children and now older girls, and had to include
it as inspiration to those who ask me….’what should my child wear for our session?’
i’m all for comfort when it comes to children, but i’m even more for comfort and a little style….and colour,
and frills, and ruffles, and lots of patterns, buttons….
you get the idea. and so does julie, who is the creative artist behind zozobugbaby.
did i mention she has an etsy shop too?
julie contacted me, at first i thought i did something wrong!, after discovering that her link was listed on my blog.
liking what she saw (thank you julie!), she asked me if i’d be interested in shooting her fashions for her online shop.
uhmmm….hmmmmm, let me think about that one!!!
ok. one millisecond passed…..yes!!!! i really have no interest in shooting commercially, should i really say that,
but certain things, like fashion/lifestyle…catalogues…urban, anthro, milk, abc carpet & home and children’s
catalogues are so on my yes list…
julie already uses a group of talented photographers for her online catalogues but has decided to expand her creations
to include older girls through teens and asked if i’d be interested in filling that spot. as you know, my daughters are
here and there on my blog… just a little;)…
and then she asked if they would be interested in being the models. yes to that one too.
so, she went about creating and sewing skirts just for them, sent them over and out we went….
i asked for direction…nope. she wanted me to create what i wanted…..wow. no pressure.
well, this is how i saw it complete with a mock up of my own.
these were my some of my favorites from our first zogirl shoot.
