i know i have mentioned here and there on my blog that i have no interest in commercial work…but somehow it has been sneaking in.
and honestly, it’s not that i don’t want to, it’s just that i never really thought it was possible to work on what i’d like to work on.
but, somehow, so far, the projects that have come my way have been the kinds of creative commercial jobs that i daydream about.
i’m not going to question the why’s and how’s too much, i’m just going to say thank you. i’m very very lucky and very very grateful.

so, when tina of casa delorenzo {aka, the queen of pillows} saw a comment on one of my blogs about not really wanting to do commercial
work unless it was for like…abc carpet and home, anthropologie (and who wouldn’t) among others…she contacted me about photographing
her pillows for her new website that is being totally updated. in the meantime, her etsy site is here.
she was looking to expand her market to a younger, hipper market without losing her established clients and core branding.
tina is an amazing artist herself running her interior design business in the arts district of oakley for the past 6 years after working as
a designer at closson’s downtown for 10 years. she specializes in the most amazing finely crafted custom pillows anywhere.
really, they need to be carried at abc carpet and home! you’ll want them in your home! walking into her friendly and stylish showroom and
viewing the incredible selections of fabrics and trims she has collected and beautifully displayed is eye candy for any creative soul.
you’ll never think of pillows the same way again.

i was also lucky enough to have a wonderfully talented set stylist join this project who
came ready to be open, creative and work as a team. nora martini and i have worked together for years
in the print/film world… she as a set stylist and me as a make up artist. this was our first project together as set stylist and photographer.
i couldn’t have asked for more.
