julie martin {aka zozobugbaby and zogirl’s creative mistress} has done it again. actually she has outdone herself.
i received the top secret package last month…this outfit and gabriella’s are not suppose to be released until february,
but that changed today, yea julie! so i am officially allowed to blog sophia’s and you can check out julie’s zozobugbaby blog here.
we will all have to wait for gabriella’s….ooh, it hurts!
now…to go along with her orange and lemon sherbert butterfly halter dress (love it!) julie found these whimsical butterfly headbands
created by another amazing artist lisa whose etsy shop is called cagas wagner design. you can see that her style tends toward the surreal
and mad hatter like…how perfect. ohhh! how i love love love the butterfly headbands! ohhh! how i love love love the dresses!
thank you julie for designing the most colourful and playful outfits for children and for finding the perfect accessory to go along with them.
thank you lisa for creating such beautiful little works of art! like little sculptures! thank you sophia for bringing them both to life!

Julie Martin - Um……are you OF THIS EARTH???? Is Sophia an ANGEL????? OTHERWORLDLY!!! WOW…not only does the photography, as always, blow me away, but Sophia has GOT to be the most incredibly gorgeous young woman I have ever seen (well…ok…she and Gabriella can share the title!). LOVE LOVE LOVE!

one cool {workshop}

let me just start off by saying one name…amy wenzel. for any of you who are not familiar with her or her work, go check her out right NOW.
{i’ll wait}
now you see why i wanted so badly to attend a workshop hosted by this beautiful, funny, smart, giving and crazy talented woman? a no brainer.
and disappointed i was not. from big ideas to tiny details to the other wonderful woman who also attended, a dream weekend.
thank you amy for being so open and sincere and sharing a little bit of you with us;)

athena - Oh wow, Gina, I’m in love with these! You captured some great shots and the textures are amazing. I agree with every single thing you said about Amy… going to her workshop was the best decision I ever made. Thank you so much for everything… seriously, the workshop was awesome but it was awesome-r (made-up word!) because you were there 🙂 I’m going to make it a point to visit OH in the future (my SIL lives in Miamisburg!) so we need to meet up, ok? 🙂

Julie Ann - Aw, I love looking at Amy Wenzel’s stuff. Love these photos! The kids are so adorable and your style really comes through in the images. So happy the workshop lived up to your expectations. I’ve had friends take other workshops in other areas only to be disappointed…yay for you!

model portfolios . kerri

kerri drove in from indiana for her session. as soon as i saw her standing on the sidewalk with her
big beautiful smile, i knew it was going to be great.
i always let people save one outfit that is not ‘just for the card’ but, instead, one that really shows their personality,
one they can have complete fun with. i loved kerri’s choice, but i got really excited when she told me that
her guitar was yellow. oh yeah, oh yeah!
she looks like she stepped right into the role of a hip singer/songwriter for an indie rock band….
or maybe that’s what she really is?
either way, she brought beauty, coolness and fun to our day and i loved photographing her.

and, yes. this is my favorite doorway, numbers, mail slot and all.
